• “We love this place. Probably the friendliest servers in town. I had an excellent veal marsala and my wife had an equally wonderful salmon. The rice pilaf with mine was very tasty. Plus we had a great time dancing to the oldies music, which always includes slow songs, making it a delightful romantic evening. This is a vintage Kern County restaurant that has survived all the rest. The owner makes service a number one priority.”

• “I was a little skeptical when my husband pulled in behind the building to park our vehicle, but once inside I changed my mind. This is a nice steakhouse. The food was good, the service was prompt and friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable. Since the weather was warmer, we didn't have the added pleasure of enjoying the fire place, but now that it's colder, we just have to pay them another visit.“

• “Just recently started going to this place and absolutely love it! It reminds me of an older steakhouse since the decor is reds and the lighting is dim. Very rustic and antique like. For dinner my husband had a Filet that melted in you mouth and I ordered the halibut that was thick and very moist. The food is delicious and the service outstanding. On Friday nights they have live music that is nice and contemporary when dining and every now and then guests get up to dance! I love the fireplace in the center of the restaurant you can sit and eat around it, very romantic and private.”

• “Come here for the amazing retro feel. You could imagine Hugh Hefner designed the place in the 60's. Waitresses wear knee length pleated skirts, and harstyles, like buns etc, are retro too. Food's fine, but wear loose pants as it's a biiig meal.”

• “Went here over the holidays and again had a fantastic meal. I decided to have the special....where else can you find a T-Bone these days. I asked for it medium and it was cooked to perfection. I know this sounds odd, but my wife is a big fan of liver and onions, and they have it on the menu and really this is the reason why we decided to go in the first place. She was pleased once again with her selection.......I can't say I've ever had it, not sure I ever will, but it looked good. In the past I have been pleased with the steaks and seafood slections, driks are solid as well. Lastly, the atmosphere is off the wall in a really good and unique way - oldshool steakhouse feel.”

• “An old bar - dark -kind of seedy looking and a piano player in the corner. BUT,without a question this was the best meal and steak in Bakersfield ! Only 2 waitressess but they knew what they were doing and handled the tables very well.  My husband had the porterhouse and I the filet mignon. It was outstanding! Melt in your mouth and cooked to perfection. We have eaten at many of the restaurants in Bakersfield while on business there and came upon this place by chance. Obviously a well kept secret by the locals. We will return.”
